Brand Identity

Definition

A Brand Identity is the public layer for a brand, product line, or named public-facing voice that is not the whole company entity.

Account is private. Identity is public. Reputation belongs to the identity.

Purpose

To keep brand storytelling clear when the voice is the brand — not the entire Business Identity.

Why it exists

A company may operate multiple brands. Collapsing every brand into one Business page, or into a person’s Personal page, confuses who is speaking.

Who it is for

  • Operators of product lines or named brands
  • Teams that need a brand voice beside a Business Identity

Typical use cases

  • Product line
  • Named brand under a parent company
  • Public-facing brand voice

How it works

Created under the same Account that may also hold a Business Identity. Content published as the brand attaches here.

Examples

  • A product-line page under a parent company account
  • A named brand voice distinct from corporate Business Identity

What belongs here

  • Brand story, product-line presence, brand hubs and links

What doesn’t belong here

  • Full corporate governance and company-wide hiring when Business Identity is the correct home
  • Personal lifestyle content
