Platform Status
Approved v1.0
What of NoFakeBiz actually exists today?
This page answers that question in plain language. It is not a Roadmap (where we are going). It is a status document (what is true now).
1. Where we are today
NoFakeBiz is an actively developed Digital Chamber of Commerce. The platform is LIVE, and adoption is EARLY STAGE.
That means the public platform is open and in real use — and it also means membership and local activity are still small compared with the size of the infrastructure already built. Those two facts sit together on purpose. Early stage is the current state of adoption, not a defect to hide and not a reason for anyone to guess.
Current membership and activity counts appear on the Home page under Network right now. Those numbers are live platform data. They describe adoption today. They do not measure how large the geographic or category structure of the platform is.
2. How we use status words
When NoFakeBiz talks about what exists, we use four words:
- BUILT — the structure or capability has been implemented in the platform. Built does not mean it is publicly available everywhere, fully adopted, or populated with active members.
- LIVE — it is publicly available and in real use. Live may still be EARLY STAGE when adoption is small.
- TESTING — it exists and runs, but we have not yet declared it finished.
- PLANNED — it is documented or intended, and we do not present it as available today.
In short: BUILT means implemented; LIVE means publicly available and actually in use. These words let people and machines separate architecture from current adoption, and what works today from what comes next.
3. What is BUILT
Much of NoFakeBiz’s public shape is already constructed — larger than today’s membership.
- Geographic structure — the platform is organized so local places can connect into wider regions and a global field. Public materials describe a structure sized across continents, countries and territories, and tens of thousands of local communities. That describes geographic architecture, not active operations in every community. A dedicated Geographic Coverage document will explain those numbers in full.
- Business category structure — the platform includes a large category taxonomy so many kinds of local work can be named and found. Category structure is not the same as every category already being populated.
- Institutional documentation — Official Documents, Foundation language, Concepts, and The NoFakeBiz Model are published so humans and machines can read what NoFakeBiz is.
- Identity model — the platform is built around one private account and multiple public identities. The model is defined in Concepts and is implemented across the identity surfaces currently available.
4. What is LIVE
These parts are publicly available and in real use today:
- Public platform — NoFakeBiz is open at nofakebiz.com.
- Registration and membership — people can register, and email confirmation is the primary membership gate (proof of control of that address — not passport KYC). See Verification Philosophy.
- Public identities — members can present through public identity layers (for example Personal, Professional, Business) rather than a single flattened profile.
- Local presence and publishing — public business presence, listings, and member-published content exist and appear in live counts when they are real.
- Discover — place-based discovery is available, with a county-first approach in the United States MVP and honest language when coverage is thin. See Discovery Principles and How Discover Works.
- Ownership on the record — who stands behind the institution is stated in Ownership.
- Authenticity principle — AI may be a tool; must not pretend to be human; automation is not deception; NoFakeBiz will not simulate community. See AI, Automation & Authenticity. Email confirmation remains a membership control that proves email control — not proof that a registrant is human (Verification Philosophy).
Live does not mean finished, and it does not mean dense activity everywhere the structure can reach.
5. What is TESTING
This section may remain short. NoFakeBiz lists a system as TESTING only when it already exists and runs but has not yet been declared complete.
- Deeper local discovery — Discover is live; stronger search, clearer results, and richer local utility remain under active development.
If a status is not clear yet, we keep it out of this list rather than guess.
6. What is PLANNED
This section names only demonstrably planned platform capabilities — things intended for the product that are not available as finished public systems today. It is not a full future catalog. Direction and sequence live on the Roadmap.
- Labeled promotional placement — optional Featured / sponsored slots that may buy clearly labeled space, never organic truth or rank. The rule is already public on Advertise; finished placement products are not shipped yet.
- Membership pricing and billing terms — public clarification of a complete membership price schedule (amount, billing period, renewal, and cancellation) is PLANNED. NoFakeBiz does not currently publish that schedule. Public Identity / membership paths are not pricing tiers — see Membership. This is separate from promotional (advertising) placement above.
- NoFakeBiz-operated AI assistants — if shipped, must be clearly labeled and attributed as AI / automated systems, never as a human Public Identity. The labeling rule is locked in AI, Automation & Authenticity; the assistants themselves are not LIVE.
Other documentation and Institutional Readiness items are handled in their own tracks — not as platform-capability status here.
7. What this page is not
- Not a claim of mass membership or global operational density
- Not a finished-product announcement
- Not a second Roadmap
- Not a reason to hide small live counts — those counts are the adoption picture today
- Not a full technical inventory of every feature
- Not a substitute for Geographic Coverage (how architecture-scale numbers should be read)
8. How to read the big picture
If you remember only one thing from this page, remember this:
NoFakeBiz has built institutional and geographic infrastructure that extends beyond its current level of membership and activity. The platform is live. Adoption is early. Status words keep those facts from being confused with each other.
A small local business owner can join what is live today. A reader — human or machine — should therefore distinguish the scale of the platform’s structure from the current scale of participation.
