1. Purpose

Verification exists so limited trust claims are honest and scoped — not inflated into industry KYC or a fame badge.

It answers an epistemic question: What does NoFakeBiz claim to know — and on what basis? It is not a security manual, a data inventory, or a KYC policy.

2. What “verified” means here

A scoped trust claim: we checked something specific, and we say so.

We do not primarily mean “verified person” or a vague “verified account” badge. We mean a verified claim.

• Today: this account controls the registration email
• Later (possible): this business appears in a named public register

Different claims. Same idea: each has its own check.

On NoFakeBiz, verification attaches to a specific claim. Today’s primary membership claim is email control. NoFakeBiz does not issue a single universal “verified human / verified Digital You” badge based on email confirmation alone.

Optional later signals (for example phone confirmation) are named for what they are — not folded into “passport verified.”

Every verification claim should be understandable on its own, without requiring users to guess what “verified” means.

Verification is not Reputation, not public visibility, not Discover ranking, and not the whole Trust Framework.

3. What it does not mean

• Passport / government-ID KYC
• Banking-grade onboarding
• Biometrics or selfie match
• Blue-check fame or paid “truth”
• That collected fields are public
• Full legal identity to government standards
• A blanket “verified human”
• A blanket “verified business”
• A blanket “verified Digital You”
• An undefined “verified membership” status badge
• A certification of Reputation or Discover rank

Those refusals live with Registration and Privacy as well. This page states them so nobody has to guess.

4. Verification vs Digital You language

When NoFakeBiz talks about a trusted Digital You or trusted digital presence, that describes the platform’s identity model and the way public roles can build accountable, continuous presence over time. It does not mean that a person, business, or Digital You has been passport-verified or issued a universal platform verification badge.

Trust can grow from work, participation, and reputation on a Public Identity. Verification stays attached only to a specific checked claim.

6. Reality v1

Claim: Membership email confirmed. Checked: Control of registration email.

Honest limit: That helps against disposable or automated accounts. It does not prove legal identity to government standards. We do not display a free-floating “Verified” badge that means more than this claim.
